Fire-rated sectional doors

Kavidoors fire-rated sectional doors provide 60-minute fire resistance. Their vertical opening system enables efficient installation regardless of available space.
The doors remain open until a fire is detected or a power outage occurs—at which point the control unit sends a signal to the motor to automatically close the door, ensuring safety and rapid compartmentalization.

Technical specifications

Door LeafPanels built with a steel frame and fire-resistant gypsum boards.
Total thickness: 80 mm.
The top and bottom sides feature MDF strips with continuous grooves housing inflatable gaskets.
Exterior finish: pre-painted steel sheet, 0.63 mm thick, in RAL 9002 and RAL 9006.
TracksSide guides consist of two main parts:
A guiding base, made from a 2 mm thick folded galvanized steel profile, mounted to the wall and containing fire-resistant gypsum strips with two intumescent seals on top.
A C-profile guide made from 1.5 mm thick cold-formed galvanized steel.
Both elements are joined using 2 mm galvanized steel clamps.
Labyrinth SystemLocated above the opening, this fire-stop barrier is formed by a fixing profile with fire-resistant gypsum board and two intumescent seals on the wall, along with a fixing profile on the top panel.
This configuration prevents flame propagation during a fire.
SafetyControlled via up-stop-down push buttons on the control unit.
An optional anti-trap sensor can be integrated into the lower edge of the door. This safety feature can be used in combination with remote controls, radar sensors, and other automation systems.

Features of fire-rated sectional doors

Fire-rated sectional doors serve a dual purpose—acting both as fire barriers and as fully functional industrial doors.
This eliminates the need to install two separate systems for fire protection and daily operation, saving space, reducing costs, and ensuring full safety compliance.

Door structure

The door consists of interconnected horizontal slats, ranging from 400 mm to 700 mm in height.
The outer surface is finished with galvanized steel sheeting, adhered across the full panel surface for a smooth and elegant appearance.
Functionality is enhanced by a minimal required lintel height of just 750–850 mm.
