Sliding fire rated doors
Kavidoors’ RF sliding fire-rated doors ensure effective fire protection, offering fire resistance ratings of 60, 90, and 120 minutes. They are typically kept open, held in place by an electromagnet, until a fire detection signal or power failure triggers the counterweight system, causing the door to close automatically. Thanks to their advanced design, these doors provide automatic closing in the event of a fire or power outage, ensuring continuous safety and operational reliability in demanding industrial environments.

Structure of the RF sliding fire door
The door consists of individual slats based on a steel frame structure. The slats are covered with fire-resistant material and metal sheeting. Door leaf stability is achieved by reinforcing the panels with steel profiles connected by threaded rods. The slats are suspended from a guide rail; each slat is equipped with a separate roller carriage. RF sliding fire doors can be closed either by a counterweight system or by gravity. Guaranteed mechanical durability: 50,000 operating cycles (for electrically operated doors).
Types of fire-resistant sliding doors
- Single-leaf: The door consists of one integral leaf that slides either to the left or to the right.
- Double-leaf: The door is divided into two parts (either symmetrical or asymmetrical), with each leaf sliding to opposite sides of the opening.
- Telescopic: Each leaf is composed of 2–3 sections that slide telescopically behind each other, either to the left or right. This solution reduces the amount of space needed when the door is open.
- Manual or automatic: In automatic versions, opening and closing times can be individually adjusted.
Additional features
The RF sliding door can be supplied with an emergency exit door, available with or without a threshold, and can be equipped according to specific requirements. They can be mounted on concrete, brick, clay tile, silicate walls, or steel structures, ensuring the required fire resistance.
