Vertical guillotine fire-rated doors
Kavidoors vertical guillotine fire-rated doors provide the ideal solution for access points with sufficient headroom but limited lateral clearance. With fire resistance ratings of up to 180 minutes, these doors remain open via electromagnetic retention and close automatically using a counterweight system upon fire detection or power loss, ensuring reliable and effective fire protection.

Key features of guillotine fire-rated doors
Fire rated guillotine doors are installed in areas that require effective fire compartmentalization but lack side clearance. They function like horizontal sliding fire doors, using an electromagnet connected to a fire control panel to stay open.
When fire is detected, the control unit deactivates the magnet and the door closes automatically via a counterweight mechanism, even in the event of a power failure.

These vertical fire resistant doors also feature fire resistance up to EI2-180 and include a perimeter intumescent seal that expands in the presence of heat, ensuring a tight seal and high airtightness during a fire.
Their vertical opening mechanism makes them ideal for tall structures. However, when there is insufficient vertical or lateral space, a fire-rated sectional door is typically recommended as an alternative.
